Welcome to "A View from My World"
Welcome! This is "A View from My World." This website was concieved as a way for me and others who share common ground to come together in community of shared experience. My story is a long one, and I will not go into all the details here. In this sight you will find many features to help you communicate with other users and guests.
You do not need to be a member here to participate, but there are features that are only accessable by members.
You do not even need to be diagnosed with a mental illness yourself. Maybe your a caregiver for someone who has a mental illness. Maybe your a loved one or a friend. You might even be a professional. Whatever brings you to "My World" know that you are welcome here.
I should warn you of four things.
- First I am a Christian. I make no bones about it and will not apologies for my faith. If you are here you will be exposed to the Christian message. If your offended by that message then maybe, just maybe this is not the place for you. Actually I believe it is the perfect place for you but that is a choice that you have to make.
- This is an honest website. While the above is true we are dealing in many cases with raw emotions, that may not always look like most people picture Christians to look like. In my journal I will speak frankly and honestly about my struggles, and that includes at times my struggles with my own faith. There may be frank and honest discussion of matters that are not suitable for children. While I do not stand for vulgarity as a general rule, I cannot police what one may consider vulger and another may not. Overall the rating of this board will be around pg-13, if I had to give it a rating that is. Remember that whenb you are posting comments or using the various communication tools around the site.
- I go by the web name "Lion's Cub". It has special significance to me which someday I may explain. Due to the nature of this site and the subjects discussed use of real names is not required. The use of a web name to hide ones identity for malicious purposes is forbidden. The use of names that are offensive will not be allowed either.
- I will not stand for personal attacks period. They will be dealt with swiftly and surely.
